JAMAICA PLAIN. The development of this beautiful park was funded by James Arnold. Arnold left it to Harvard University upon his death. After selling the park to the city, Harvard has regained its possession and pays only $1 a year (for one thousand years) for it. Today the 265-acre grounds are home to over four thousand types of trees. The Jamaica Pond also makes up part of the peaceful surroundings. #13;#10;
